Leadership Team
Iain McKenzie is Chairman of the Mettoni Group of companies.
He has 25 years experience in the Telecommunications market with a career that started at Nortel. Iain joined as a Managing Director in 1994 and took the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Two years later he led the management team in an MBO which formed the Mettoni group as it is today. Iain is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants(FCMA) and has an MBA from London Business School (Sloan Fellowship).
Gary Young is CEO for the Mettoni Group and is responsible for the overall leadership of the organization across its global offices. Gary has 20 years experience in the IT and Communications market place in EMEA and North America. His broad experience includes sales & marketing, go to market strategies, improving the customer experience, general management and mergers & acquisitions. Gary has held senior roles across the ICT market in organizations such as Affiniti/KCOM Plc, Compel Group Plc and IBM, both in the UK and Canada. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Calgary.
Richard Betts is President of Mettoni Inc and is responsible for Arc operations across North America. He has many years experience in the Telecommunications industry, having worked in senior sales management positions within leading vendors such as Ericsson, Mitel and Nortel. He went on to join Datapulse as Sales Director, then as General Manager and went on to work with Iain Mackenzie and other Directors to conclude the MBO of the Mettoni UK business which formed the current group. Richard was then involved in the acquisition of Arc Solutions and held the position of Managing Director. He then relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina to head up Mettoni Inc.
Alex Black is Chief Technology Officer for the Mettoni Group and leads the strategy, research and development of software products for Arc Solutions. Alex started his career in aeronautics and became a systems programmer for BAe. He spent 13 years working for Digital (DEC) where he was the Technical Director for the global finance business. Alex then worked for P&P and GE Capital in the field of acquisitions prior to forming a strategy consulting business helping businesses develop strategies to address the emerging Internet market. Alex held senior strategy and product roles in Logicalis, SNSL/Omnetica. Most recently Alex was Strategy Director of Affiniti.
Nick McCleery is Group Finance Director for Mettoni and heads the finance team in all locations. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) Nick has over 20 years experience of managing finance and administration functions, the past 12 years of which have been spent in the IT and Communications sector. He joined Datapulse in 2000 and two years later was part of the MBO team which formed the present Mettoni Group. He was educated at Hull University where he graduated with a degree in economics and accounting, and later qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London.
